When it’s time for “LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION ” nothing compliments your look, like a fresh made face. We first met Richie on our shoot and she was a key element in helping to create our looks with her artistry.
Say hello to Richie…
the arts is where my heart lies.
I am a self-taught Freelance Makeup Artist in the Philadelphia area.
I specialize in weddings, proms, fashion shows, and more. I graduated Temple University with a BA in Liberal Arts: with a concentration in criminal justice, but the arts is where my heart lies. I’ve always been a creative since my younger years: in talent shows, school plays, poetry contests, attended a performing arts high school, any and everything that showcased my talents. I have hopes of attending law school and becoming an entertainment Lawyer, while also being a well-known makeup artist.
I want to incorporate the two areas, maybe creating a business that helps aspiring lawyers, or those already in that field, prepare for court: makeup applications and styling them. This is something I can see myself doing.
A few tips to any creatives out there is to ignore those negative thoughts that arise from time to time. There are people out there who look forward to seeing your work, and people out there who you inspire. Us creatives are really hard on ourselves and our work, but our work is needed somewhere in the world. Sometimes, we get distracted and lose track of where we are going, but keep going.
These gifts we were given were not meant to go to waste. To aspiring makeup artist, practice, practice, PRACTICE! That is the only way to get better. Find some muses and just practice and promote yourself. Another tip is to invest in yourself, ALWAYS.
